Well folks, it’s assignment season once again. It’s rolled around particularly quickly this year I feel. I have 2 essays due next week and another one the week after. So writing this post is my break (of which I’ve had many), from writing about Kantian moral philosophy and the war between Ukraine and Russia. How uplifting.
So with this constantly on my mind, I thought I’d write about what I’ve been listening to to get me through the very short study periods I’ve suffered.
Thus (I googled other words for “so”), here are the best albums to be productive to:
- Rumours (Live) by Fleetwood Mac – I’ll start off with the album I’m currently listening to. The original version of Rumours is my absolute favourite album ever so I was over the moon to see that they recently released the live version. I think the live version is best for productivity mode because I’m less likely to sing along to it. It’s just a 10/10 album though.
- Igor by Tyler the Creator – my A levels are defined by this album. I’m not even sure why I find it to be such a good revision album but it just works for me. I think maybe because there’s so much going on in it. It’s also 40 minutes long so it’s like the perfect excuse to have a break after 40 minutes. Would highly recommend.
- Appaloosa Bones by Gregory Alan Isakov – I know I’ve already hyped this one up a lot but it’s also the perfect vibe for some chill productivity vibes. So while your mind is all over the place, you can just pretend everything’s alright with some relaxed folk music.
- Staying at Tamara’s by George Ezra – more chill vibes. Forgot how much I loved this album until I listened to it again recently. Just is a good album. Great one to have on in the background.
- Folklore by Taylor Swift – it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t include some T Swizz. This is just a great album anyway but it also got me through my A levels (and then made me a Swiftie). I think I know the lyrics too well now though so it doesn’t really help me do work anymore but it does help me mentally.
Well I hope no one is too stressed this assignment season. And maybe one of these albums might help you to chill out a bit during all the busyness (that is a word, I looked it up).
